In the past, I haven't been the biggest Atari fan.  I did like the Jaguar and Lynx.   However, this looks like a cool steel book Switch collection.

It's $50 at this time.

I like a lot of the pong derivatives and can stand games like centipede and space invaders but the atari console versions are far inferior. I keep trying to love Atari but I just can't. I do like the game art, and the collectability as well as accessibility of the pre jag stuff but every single time i've built up an atari collection i've sold it off. With that said, I still purchased the switch version of this and it should be here tonight. Still trying I guess.

I like the way they put this together. This is the way you do collections. The thing is packed with info that should satisfy any retro gamer that has a nostalgic streak for that era. I plan on picking this up at some point. I never had a thing for the Atari consoles. The only thing that I did like was the Lynx. That was something I was able to do  lot of gaming on, I still own two of three of those. I had the Jaguar and still play a few of my favorites for the console. Had it out a week ago playing. But really the only thing from something like the 2600 that would grab my interest would be Defender, Centipede, something like that, but hey, my NES has good enough ports of those games.

yeah.. I agree.  I've never been super fond of Atari outside a few games on the Atari Jaguar and some on the Atari Lynx.  I'll tell you...  this collection was pretty well done IMO.  It was tempting to buy.  The tempting part on this one is the addition of Lynx and Jaguar.   I did like some of the old games such as Centipede.  But I can only play those so many times these days... for whatever reason.

@targetrasp - Did you crack open the collection?  thoughts?

nope, it's a shelf decoration. I don't intend to leave it wrapped but I've not really been compelled to crack it open at the moment.
