Do people really think their constantly mined data is safe?   This is partly why I hesitate to offer "Login with FaceBook."

One article from CNN - though I'm not a CNN fan.. I still listen to all news sources:
Is your data safe on Facebook? Not really - Money.Cnn.com

Facebook stock tanks after data breach report, shaving billions off company's market value - TheVerge.com

It's amazing at how much is lost over this... and rightfully so.   I know Facebook makes it's money off data mining, but no one ever seems to question what's being mined and used ... why AND by who.  And what they're doing to filter only certain news stories to you and keeping others away.  I know some of that is smart advertising but some of it can be misleading and paint a narrative they want to paint.   Who doesn't do this anymore though?

We are now Several Breaches down over the last couple years - also marking the Equifax.com breach last year.  That one was HUGE...

What do you think?  Post up your thoughts!

I think facebook users are giving their data away free to start with. I also think Facebook is the barrel and the users are the fish and all any malcontent has to do is shoot.

You pretty much sign your life away when you accept their terms of use. lol... I'm sure they have some thing like:
"In due course of end user's viewing of the site, we may deem necessary a payment of 1 kidney and eye... payable to the nearest chat bot to continue uninterrupted site usage."

I've had to blacklist Facebook at work. There's not a work computer that can access it. outside of crowdstrike going nuts every few days over crap the employees were clicking on we were losing at least an hour a day per employee. I assumed people would start using HMA or some other VPN service to access facebook, Netflix, etc. on their computers, instead these fools started bringing in their cell phones! Now I have to write up people every time I see them with their phones, but it a lot easier than dealing with the viruses and other crap.

LOL... just don't black list Chicken Dinner Gaming at work  ;D   Yeah... that sucks... there's a lot to take interest away from work.

This is pretty insane:
facebook ceo mark zuckerberg lost almost 5 billion - usatoday.com
In 1 day...  Easy come easy go.... obviously he'll get it back when Facebook recovers... but that's a boat load to lose in value in 1 day.
