Another UFO story  ;D
2 airline pilots report seeing UFO while flying over Arizona - MSN.com

It's been awhile since I've seen one of these.  Thought I'd post it up.

Queue X-files theme :)

Thoughts? Comments? Post it up!

I find some of the good UFO stories interesting. Sometimes many of these things get freaky.

I liked the original X-Files. It is one of those series I watch from beginning to end occasionally.

yeah, what ever happened to the ufo sighting? Crop circles used to be a thing too

BLUEVOODU

@retro junkie yeah. I like these type of stories.  Used to watch X-Files.  The lady and I will make a run through all seasons here and there.  That takes a bit of time with there bring 9 seasons, 2 movies and 2 extra 'seasons'   X-Files topic coming soon!

@targetrasp I think the crop circle thing stopped after they were 'proven' to be man made ...  do the job mystery has been taken out of them.

The ufo thing is pretty cool...  though I'm pretty sure most of it is testing of some sort.

I'm sorry but for me there are only the original X-files 9 seasons.  :nerd:

Original 9 seasons and 1st movie ?  ;D

The new seasons are OK. Not as good but good to see them again.

I watched that first season when they reprised their roles, but took no interest afterward.
My first impressions? The cinematography here is lacking in comparison with the original series. It is almost reduced to home movie type cheapness. Something significant has been lost. That "X File" styling, or feel, is off, misses the mark, or seems broken.

Scully and Moulder come across as stiff flat tired cardboard cutouts of the original characters. Even the chemistry between them is missing, leaving you unsatisfied. The energy and drive of the original characters is gone and has left the building. Maybe my expectations are too high considering that they are much older now, I am thinking that they are in their fifties? I'm old too but I haven't lost my personally. Where are the sunflower seeds? Where are the walkers, the wheel chairs? They seem like they need them. What, is the smoking man a million years old now?

It is very difficult to recreate something that was original. There are too many variables. Back during the shows run all of the elements were in place which culminated into the weekly montage of the X Files. (Those credits at the end mean something. They are all of the elements that make a movie, or series, what it is.) The mixture was right and it was on fire. Everyone was into their role as they developed the character in which they were portraying while the series progressed. And maybe that was one of the keys. We enjoyed the dark grotesque science fiction sprinkled with humor with the teasing interaction between the agents.
This comeback after all these years, to me, is an abomination of the original series.

Me? Watch this? Nope, an't doin it.

Your right I stand corrected, 9 seasons and one movie. I forgot about the one movie that was good.

Sorry about that little bit of passion that leaked out.

Totally get what you're laying down.

I'm not sure it's possible to get the same cinematography...  that type of equipment just isn't used. I know they can do a lot with new equipment.   But it's like a guitarist trying to find an old pedal to get an original sound because new equipment tries but cannot achieve.  There's other newer equipment that's progressed and sounds better in some ways.... But cannot achieve an exact sound achieves in the past.

They definitely don't have the same chemistry.  Life moved on.  It's different for both of them.  I I noticed the same exact things you did.

I'm just happy to see new X-Files lol.  The 2nd movie was super rough. And they didn't use the theme song. In the new episodes... there were a couple good episodes.  But Mulder's thoughts were super forced as he was monologuing  ... at least that's what I think you call it.

I've been watching the new series but I agree that it's definitely not as good. I'll keep watching though haha.

Regarding the OP, I think the sighting is interesting and cool the way it went down. Two separate crews seeing the same object that neither can identify. I'm sure it's a balloon or drone or something else explainable, but interesting nonetheless.

BLUEVOODU

Yeah.. lol... I'll keep watching it as well.  The 1st 6 Episode series wasn't bad.. started out rough... ended better.   I think this needs it's own topic  ;D

OR maybe it's experimental craft of some sort.  It's crazy to read the outer space stories where they see UFO's... obviously unidentifiable... but it would be creepy to be out there and see a UFO of some sort.
