Holy Crap... we made it to June 2021 already.  We blipped 1 year... and now we are here lol  ;D   Crazy time warp.

With that... do you all have summer plans?  Just chilling out?   The weather (here) has been pretty nice.  Took awhile to get here.

Thoughts? Comments? Post it up!

I start retirement on July 16th. I begin a journey of redefining myself. That is key to successfully making the transition and not ending up setting on the couch forever. I plan on yard work, which will be a big deal, because it is needed. Also I have a Wacom graphics tablet that I want to learn and use to get back into art, drawing, etc. Might even get back into photography. Then there is that guitar I use to play 40 years ago, but maybe my hands might not be ready for that. And there will be time for gaming and I must plan on some sort of exercise program so my body doesn't turn to the blob. And of course there will be gaming. The days will be packed.

I never blipped a year, if you are referring to the "pandemic." Never blipped here, my year was totally normal, except for the mask thing, stayed at work the whole time. I still have trouble believing that there was anything to be concerned about. Maybe my town just missed it in some way, don't know. I do know that my area of our state has the lowest number of people taking the vaccine. I have yet to take it. I have reservations about taking something that has not had the research and development that the flu vaccine had. And I get very suspicious about the way this is being pushed.

I'm looking for a secluded beach somewhere but vacation prices are climbing and the incentive portion of my salary isn't back yet so a staycation may be in order. I'm in such a liberal area and even the majority of the people here have doffed the masks. I'm caught up on my shots and am starting to get confident we're out of the woods but I'd feel better with a little more time for research, data collection etc. I also have one kid that's too young to get the vaccine so that weighs in as well. With all of that said, no concrete plans yet but looking to do something outside the normal.

Well... not in the way of work.  Although we went 100% work from home and now they're looking to close  the local town location that we just moved to in 2019.  I didn't blip in other ways... such as education.  I acquired more IT certifications and am about ready to complete a few more.  Had a few promotions.   But I did in other ways such as sports, gym, socialization, eating out, and stuff like that.  Good luck on your retirement transformation!  Gaming is a retirement must!  ;D

@targetrasp dude... I want a secluded beach as well.  I seriously want to hear the waves and that's about it.  I have a hard time sitting still... SO, I'm not sure how long that will last.  But I'm ok for at least 2 days of it lol.
