The Steam Summer sale has begun!

I am half considering Doom: Eternal and Black Mesa (the Half-Life remake).  Anyone else eyeing up any games?

I got puzzle chronicles, dungeons and dragons: chronicles of mystara, castlevania anniversary collection, anniversary collection arcade classics, wizard of legend, valheim, and contra anniversary collection.

Most was just because the old school compilations were 5 bucks but Valheim was one that I've heard so many people talk about I had to try it. I played for almost an hour trying to figure it out and just haven't got there yet. I'm also stubborn and trying to use a controller on a game that has little business being controlled with a controller. It seems fun with friends.

@Grindspine so far, I have all the steam games I want - I think. I used to buy a massive amount of games from Steam, but I'm just not sure. I might be interested in Darius and other shooters on the PC. I have Darius now for the Vita... paid a pretty penny for that.  But I'd be ok with that and more shooters like it.

Btw.  Make sure to post up any steals!

For me, the Humble monthly has so far satisfied my steam collection. It already got me Metro: Exodus, Shenmue III, Control and a bunch of other games for about $1 each.

As for any steals, I would just recommend looking at the "Under $5" list. Most of the latest games are still $20 or more.

I went ahead with Black Mesa, but have yet to play it since it has been a busy week.

I never did finish the original Half-Life, so maybe this will inspire me to fill that gap!

Yeah... at some point, a Black Mesa topic is required.   I played it a long time ago... so I haven't put much time into the game in many years.

I don't think I finished the original Half-Life either.  I beat all the newer Half-Life 2 games and spin-offs (As far as I remember).  There were many of them.  Going back and playing Half-Life 2 isn't as fun as it used to be, but the games held up decently well.  I really like the interface and how they were put together.  There really hasn't been anything like it since.

I played the first bit of Black Mesa.  It seems familiar.  The graphics are more shiny.  It, so far, is not really engaging me.  Similarly, I have tried to trudge through the original, Source version, HL2, Episode 1, and Episode 2.  None of them really keep me going though.  The only Half-Life game that I have finished to date is Lost Coast, which was more of a short tech demo rather than an actual game.
