I Am very impressed with the little controllers.  I also love how you can play some of the multiplayer games where you only need 1 Joy Con to play.  For example... you can play Super Bomberman R on the Switch 4-8 players.  Each person only needs 1 of the Joy Con controllers to play.  Not 1 in each hand.

So you hold the controller parallel wise to you and can play with it as a full controller.  Now, it is a bit small... but works well!   This makes it easier for 4-8 player Multiplayer gaming action without having to buy FULL controllers.  In other words, you can buy 2 sets of Joy Cons (1 set = Left and Right controller).... and have enough controllers for a 4 player Super Bomberman R game.

So far, these controllers had pretty good battery life.  They have great range and reception... and are pretty comfortable and very responsive.  They can be a bit small for people with larger hands.  Button mashing can occur with larger hands / fingers.

We will see how they continue to perform over time.  I know the Wiimotes performed well at 1st but dropped off performance wise after a bit of use.  They became more shaky...  IE the cursor would jump everywhere.  Part of this was the sensor bar, I get that... but something physically would happen to the Wiimote.

Post up your thoughts and comments.

I've found the batteries on the joy-cons outlive the console, which is a little irritating at times.  I'd rather it be the other way around lol I hate to have to stop what I'm doing and charge the console (very few games I like playing on the TV).
moo.

lol... I'm not sure which I'd rather have.  The console does drain power faster than the Joy Cons for sure... it's noticeable.

What I really like is that we can take 2 pairs of Joy Cons and can play 4 players for some games.  THEN AGAIN... they are $80... so they cost $40 per side.  That's pretty hefty in my opinion.   But it is cool we can play 4 player with them... works especially well for Super Bomberman R (topic)

By Hefty... I mean - the N64 controller MSRP was $29.99.  The Gamecube controller and Wavebird were not that expensive.   The wiimotes and nunchuck attachment together were $70-75 MSRP... I believe it was.  That's my only gripe right now.. $80 MSRP for a pair of Joy Cons.   Right now though... I've been seeing the black pair of Joy Cons on Amazon for $66.90-70.50.   The Red/Blue pair of Joy Cons... around $67.56.   Those are better prices.  I picked up an extra pair at that cost... I couldn't bring myself to buy them at $80 lol.

Something interesting to note...  the red / blue joy cons are reverse color and slightly more brilliant than the blue/ red joy cons included with the switch.

So with the switch, they are blue (left) and red (right).  In the joy con package, they are red (right) and blue (left).

I guess this combination allows you to use all red and blue colors if you wish. The red is definitely more brilliant and not as dull in the joy con pack.
