I don't like strategy RPGs. But I saw this game in a local media store called Odd Ball. They sell used games, CDs, DVDs, etc. I saw it for $8. I thought I would give it a go. I was attracted to it due to the characters Tekken, Street Fighter, Megaman, etc.

I have only had it a few days and I am really getting into it. Anyone else try this game? I see that there is a 2nd one out too. I am going to need to pick that one up too.

Good find @retro junkie how doesn't this play?  Is it like anything else?

It seems this game has high ratings and low price.  So maybe it was lost in the shuffle and other gaming releases?  This is the 1st I've heard of it or haven't seen it in awhile.

So far it has a story line that is developing. The encounters are mission based with a back to back feel. The reason for that feel is in between there is the dialogue between the characters. But I am still in what is called the Prologue stages. You start with two characters ( Jin Kazama and Asuka) then I meet Ken and Ryu. Plus I have already ran across Dante, Valkyrie, Demitri Maximoff, Jedah Dohma, ....... Using Dante at the moment. Battles, I have been using one button mash, plus a menu for items, special moves with an extra character, etc. There are moves with different button combinations. I am being shown those as this seems to be the tutorial portions of the game. Haven't tried any of those yet.

CAPCOM, SEGA, NAMCO, contributed to this game. I am now needing to pick up the second one.

I've completely overlooked this game thinking it was just another fighter.

Gamestop has it for 6.99 but I have to drive about 45 minutes to get it.

The second one is running 14.99 and that's at the mall down the street.

Sounds like backlog fodder to me (if BV ever gets around to the backlogger!!)

@targetrasp lol... I know ... frickin BV... What the heck man?!

See... this game is a bit tempting.  I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but Retro's Review of Project X Zone for the 3DS sure makes it more tempting.

Urge to buy Video games... my backlog is like a virus!

BV's banner ad has project x zone for the 3ds at a paltry 68.97 on amazon with prime shipping!
